Try some alternative plans first.

Alternate Plan 1

In this case an AppleTV was plugged into the mounted projecter and the teacher was trying to connect to a wall VGA plug with HDMI converter attached and plugged into the HDMI port. Once the Apple TV HDMI connection was unplugged at the projector, the wall connection was successful.

In addition, the order of connecting and turning on projector was also an issue and the correct display settings were needed.

Electricity

It is evident that the power is on and projecting light (to give the blue screen).

Cables

The cables are connected correctly as we can see something displaying from her computer.

Double checking the order of plugging in the converter prior to turning on the projector might be worth while. Sometimes computers/projects need order.

Mrs. Duel uses both her Dell computer and her iPad (via Apple TV) to display presentations to her students. She has plugged in her compuer to the projector via the HDMI to VGA converter and turned the projector on. The projector is not projecting her computer display, but shows that it is set to the HDMI source.

With 20 studious faces waiting for the presentation that she spent lots of time on, what can she do?
